And sometimes you have heavy bags or suitcases in hand.
At that moment you see a yellow taxi on the avenue.

You open the door, and sit on the comfortable seat.
But how do we speak with the driver in the taxi?
Which simple words and sentences do we say?
Well today, we are learning exactly six basic A1 expressions.
These expressions are very easy, very clear, and natural.
With these sentences, we travel comfortably in the city.
On the street, at the stop, and in the taxi we hear these words.

Our first expression is very polite: Müsait misiniz?
Our second expression is stating the destination: Meydana gitmek istiyorum.
Our third expression is checking the meter: Taksimetre açık mı?
Our fourth expression is requesting to stop: Burada inmek istiyorum.
Our fifth expression is asking the price: Ücret ne kadar?
Our sixth expression is the payment method: Nakit ödüyorum.

We add istiyorum to the end of the verb gitmek: Gitmek istiyorum.
You say Meydana gitmek istiyorum, or I want to go to the hotel.
For example: Hello driver sir, I want to go to Taksim Square.
Or I want to go to Kadıköy Square, very easy and clear.
When the driver hears this sentence, he chooses the most suitable road right away.
And we have come to our third expression: Taksimetre açık mı?
This question is very important for a safe trip in the taxi.
The taximeter is the small digital meter on the front panel of the car.
This meter measures the distance, and calculates the fare.
When getting in the car we politely ask the driver: Taksimetre açık mı?
For example: Good day, is the taximeter on by any chance?
And the driver smiles, and says the meter is running.
This way everything is clear for both passenger and driver.
Our fourth expression is related to the stopping place: Burada inmek istiyorum.
When approaching the square, you tell the driver where you want to stop.
The verb inmek means to step outside from the car.
Again we add the -mek istiyorum pattern: Burada inmek istiyorum.
For example: Next to the red traffic lights, Burada inmek istiyorum.
Or in front of the big market, you can say Burada inmek istiyorum.
When the driver hears this sentence, he pulls the car to a safe side.
This way you get out of the car comfortably, and with safety.
Now let's look at our fifth expression: Ücret ne kadar?
After the car stops, we want to learn the total payment amount.
The word ücret means journey money.
With the question ne kadar, we learn the price easily.
We combine the two: Ücret ne kadar?
For example: Our trip is over, how much is the total fare driver sir?
And the driver looks at the screen, and says seventy liras.
This question comes before us every day.
And we have come to our sixth expression: Nakit ödüyorum.
With this expression, you give the money in paper or coins.
Nakit means paper money and coins.
We add present continuous to the verb ödemek: Nakit ödüyorum.
For example: I do not have my card with me, Nakit ödüyorum.
Or you can say my small change is ready, Nakit ödüyorum.
The driver takes the money, and gives you your change.
